LeapFrog

Orange and LeapFrog teamed up with Disney/Pixar to create Up, a learning game based on the feature film. Using an original art style inspired by the movie, the game offers challenges in number recognition, basic arithmetic, shapes, colors, and spatial reasoning. Orange contributed game and interface design, art and animation, programming, audio, and music.

 

Ni Hao, Kai-Lan Beach Day

Based on the popular Nick Jr. children's show, Ni Hao Kai-Lan: Beach Day for the Leapster lets players practice phonics skills, early number sense, and logic -- with the help of their favorite Ni Hao characters. Working with LeapFrog, Orange contributed game and interface design, art and animation, programming, audio, and music.

 

Star Wars: Jedi Reading

Working with LeapFrog, Orange Design took early reading skills to a galaxy far, far away with Star Wars: Jedi Reading. Designed for ages five to eight, the game challenges players to identify letters, phonics, and words in order to help Luke, Yoda, and friends defeat Imperial forces. Orange provided game and interface design, game art, programming, audio, and music.

CNN Economy Tracker

Following the success of the 2008 election maps, Orange and CNN partnered again to develop a series of interactive maps for CNN's State of the Nation coverage. The maps track unemployment, job losses by industry, and foreclosure data, as well as how the economic downturn is impacting individuals. Orange developed the client-side application using Flash and XML.

CNN Election Maps

Orange and CNN developed a series of interactive maps for the 2008 presidential election, providing election details for fundraising, polling and county results for all candidates in all states. The maps received 27 million unique page views on Election Day. Orange developed the client-side application using Flash and XML.

Working with Scholastic, Orange created this collection of brain-boosting challenges for the Leapster. Aimed at grades K-2, Outwit! features mini-games which sharpen memory skills, spatial reasoning, and the ability to compare and contrast. Orange designed and created art and animation and provided project management, programming, audio, and music.

Outwit! earned a Silver Honor in the Parent's Choice Awards.

I SPY: Treasure Hunt

Orange and Scholastic return to the popular I SPY series with I SPY: Treasure Hunt. Kids use logic, problem solving, and vocabulary skills to piece together pirate maps and locate hidden treasure. Orange provided game design, interface design, programming, audio and music.

I SPY: Treasure Hunt earned a Silver Honor in the Parent's Choice Awards.

Golden Axe: Beast Rider

SEGA rejuvenates a classic franchise with Golden Axe: Beast Rider. Orange once again collaborated with SEGA development team Secret Level to create the user interface for this mythic, blade-swinging adventure. As with previous collaborations on the Iron Man and X-Men games, Orange used Secret Level's Sidecar™ 2D development tool to craft adventure-worthy in-game menus.

Secret Level, recently acquired by SEGA, needed a reliable and experienced team to program the user interface for its blockbuster video game. As a follow-up to our successful work on X-Men: The Official Game, Orange skillfully delivered in-game menus using Secret Level's Sidecar™ 2D development tool.

Orange and Scholastic built this delightfully offbeat collection of puzzles for the Leapster. X-Men: The Official Game

Orange's Susan Surapruik teamed up with our friends at Secret Level to create the in-game menus for X-Men: The Official Game. The interfaces were created using a new proprietary 2D tool called Sidecar™ developed by Secret Level. This Flash-like tool makes 2D game development tasks a breeze.
